Shaped like rods, pipes, or flat sheets, these ceramic membranes are used in different filtration and purification systems, such as cross-flow filtration. Depending on its porosity, it is able to perform micro, ultra or nanofiltration, removing impurities like suspended substances, turbidity, bacteria and protozoans. The durable material makes it especially resistant to pressure and heat which allows for enhanced performance as well as a sustainable choice. It was initially designed to treat hospital wastewater, so it endures aggressive chemicals, which also makes effective cleaning possible.
